This was distributed at the recent Conference meeting in Fredericksburg. There are specific instructions that Winchester has provided. Please read this thoroughly and contact the convention coordinators if you have questions.

- To get the guaranteed Eagles Convention hotel room rate, ALL hotel reservations MUST be made through Tammy Frye.
- Be sure to read the info regarding the dinner packages. There will be no separate tickets sold for Friday and Saturday night banquets

Sunday, September 12th is Pat Roberts' (wife of PWGP Jim Roberts) birthday. Pat is not feeling very good at this time and possibly we can brighten her days with a BIRTHDAY CARD SHOWER!!  The funnier the card — the better!  They may be mailed to:

The Virginia State Softball Tournament scheduled for Saturday, September 11 has been cancelled due to lack of participation.  The next state sports tournament will be Golf on Saturday, October 9 hosted by Petersburg.

Virginia's own Jerry Sullivan (Fredericksburg #4123) won the election for Grand Worthy Chaplain for the 2010-2011 year!

The State of Virginia is VERY proud of Jerry.

Congratulations to the new J.O.E. International President, Jonathan Hooten (Virginia Beach #3204) and his proud parents, Virginia State Worthy Chaplain Bobby Hooten and Past Virginia State Madam President Lennie Hooten.

We are all very proud of Jonathan and support him in this most prestigious honor.

The 2010-2011 Workshop schedule as been set as follows:

Alva #871 Auxiliary provided shoes to children in Afghanistan as part of "Operation Cold Feet"  (Check out pictures of shoes being given out in Afghanistan on the forms/photos tab of this website.)

Alva #871 Auxiliary received this certificate and wanted to share it with their brothers and sisters aroudn the state who answered their request for donations.

REMINDER: Rebel Yell subscriptions are due by August 11.  If you have not renewed your Rebel Yell subscription, now is the time to do it so you don't miss an issue!  The cost is $12 for the year.
